Jordan Love Joins Elite QB List With Notable Stat Through 5 Weeks

For years, Green Bay Packers fans have been on the fence about Jordan Love.

But as much as he’s earned some fair criticism, he’s been very good this season.

He’s not to blame for the team’s shortcomings, even though his interception against the Cleveland Browns in Week 3 proved to be costly.

Love is No. 4 in the NFL in passer rating (113.0), which is better than Buffalo Bills superstar Josh Allen, who ranks No. 5 (108.4).

Only Lamar Jackson (130.5), Jared Goff (120.7) and Sam Darnold (114.8) are ahead of Love heading into Week 6.

Top 5 QBs in passer rating after Week 5:

1. Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson – 130.5

2. Lions’ QB Jared Goff – 120.7

3. Seahawks’ QB Sam Darnold – 114.8

4. Packers’ QB Jordan Love – 113.0

5. Bills’ QB Josh Allen – 108.4

Love is about to get another weapon back.

Christian Watson will return from his ACL injury soon, and head coach Matt LaFleur will have another playmaker to deploy in his offense.

Romeo Doubs had done a solid job as WR1 in Watson’s absence, while rookie speedster Matthew Golden is getting more involved in the game plan.

Tight end Tucker Kraft has also made a name for himself.

The Packers have done a great job feeding all of their pass catchers, and Love deserves credit for that.

Of course, he still needs to prove that he can be trusted in big moments, which has been the biggest flaw in his career thus far.

Nevertheless, this has been an encouraging start to the season for a team with Super Bowl aspirations, and Love is living up to the expectations.
