MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Grizzlies unveiled their first Dream Court at the Bernal E. Smith Jr. Boys & Girls Club on Thursday.
The court is designed to be the first in a series of basketball courts throughout Memphis and Shelby County.
The courts are described as “a manifestation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s enduring vision of equality, unity and community empowerment.”
It includes a renovated court, fresh paint, new lighting, wall padding, updated locker rooms and a new scorer’s table.
The first court was designed by Memphis artist Jamond Bullock.
