Seahawks promote Brandon Pili from practice squad to active roster

Wide receiver Cody White was released to accommodate Pili’s roster promotion, being re-signed to the practice squad soon thereafter since he is a vested veteran who is not subject to waivers.

Pili initially came to the NFL as an undrafted rookie from USC in 2023, appearing in 12 games for the Miami Dolphins over two seasons before joining Seattle’s practice squad last fall. The 26-year-old defensive tackle has been called up to the active roster for three of the Seahawks’ last four games, and is being signed to the active roster now that Seattle has used up all of his practice squad elevations to play in any future games in 2025.
