Eagles-Giants updates: Will Saquon Barkley break out vs. former team?

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The Philadelphia Eagles will be hoping to bounce back from their first loss since last December against the New York Giants on Thursday night.

Greetings from the press box at MetLife Stadium, where Saquon Barkley will face his former team and the Eagles will look to move on from a 21-17 loss to the Broncos.

Barkley, after a six-carry, 30-yard performance vs. Denver, is eyeing a breakout performance. The Eagles’ offense as a whole is looking for the same, a few days after Barkley, Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown had a lengthy discussion about the unit’s early-season struggles.

Philadelphia will try to emerge victorious without a pair of injured All-Pro selections in left guard Landon Dickerson and defensive tackle Jalen Carter. We’ll see what the Eagles can do as 7 1/2-point favorites against rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart and the Giants.

Stay here throughout the night for updates. And while you’re waiting for kickoff (8:15 p.m., Prime Video), catch up on what you might have missed this week.
