After five games into the NFL season, the Baltimore Ravens are in a position not many people expected them to be in.
The Ravens’ blowout loss against the Texans on Sunday was their third defeat in a row and now puts their record at 1-4.
Of course, the unavailability of franchise QB Lamar Jackson due to a hamstring injury sustained in Week 4 against the Chiefs was always going to be a major hurdle and challenge for John Harbaugh’s team to overcome.

It looks like however that Jackson probably won’t be fit and healthy to play either in Baltimore’s next game against the Los Angeles Rams after he wasn’t able to practice on Wednesday, as per Ian Rapoport.
“Not looking good for Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens starting quarterback this week did not practice yesterday (Wednesday) with a hamstring injury,” Rapoport said on NFL Network.
“There’s basically no history this season, or really other seasons, of a starting quarterback not being out on the field on Wednesday and somehow playing on Sunday especially when he didn’t play the previous week.
“I think it’s safe to say Lamar Jackson’s status for this week against the Rams in a huge game is very much in doubt.”

And in more bad news for the Ravens, the two time NFL MVP also did not practice on Thursday, as per NBC Sports.
In four starts this year, Jackson has 10 TDs to only one interception and has thrown for 869 yards at a completion rate of 71.6 percent.
Former Dallas Cowboys QB Cooper Rush was the starter for Baltimore against Houston and with Jackson being absent from practice, Rush could be getting the start again on Sunday at home against the Rams.
