Manchester City have NO plans to recall Jahmai Simpson-Pusey from his Celtic loan deal in January.
The central defender, 19, has failed to establish himself at Parkhead since he made his move back in early August.
He is actually yet to make a first-team appearance under manager Brendan Rodgers with a lack of fitness being cited as an issue early in his Celtic Park stint.
Simpson-Pusey had been dealing with a knock when he arrived, but has since recovered, albeit he is still not match fit. And that is understood to be the main delay to the player being involved on matchdays.
Despite JSP’s lack of involvement, a source at Manchester City has confirmed to CeltsAreHere that they have currently no intention of bringing their defender back to the Etihad when the transfer window opens in January.
The Premier League giants still see Celtic as the right destination for their man to develop and there is a feeling that he will get an opportunity in Glasgow after this international break.
It is understood the situation will be re-assessed again after the Christmas period.

Cameron Carter-Vickers is the Hoops’ main man at centre-half but his partner has been chopped and changed at times in recent seasons.
The much-improved Liam Scales has been consistent alongside CCV while Auston Trusty has been the understudy this season so far.
And Simpson-Pusey – who still has manager Rodgers as a fan – will have to oust the pair ahead of him if he is to stand a chance of regular minutes.
We at CeltsAreHere can also confirm that there is NO future transfer option included in the deal despite uncertainty.
