Conor Coady is delighted after ‘next level’ Everton announcement

Conor Coady may no longer be an Everton player, but he’s still keeping tabs on what is happening at the club, especially regarding his former teammates.

Coady played for Everton on loan during the 2022-23 campaign, initially brought in by Frank Lampard and then spent time under Sean Dyche.

After his loan spell ended, Coady eventually returned to Wolves, having played 25 games for the Toffees during his stint.

While his stay in Merseyside wasn’t long, Coady managed to make an impact, and he’s now pleased to see some major news from the club.

Conor Coady is delighted for James Tarkowski after his Everton contract extension

James Tarkowski signed a new Everton contract earlier this week, which was a significant deal for the club.

David Moyes and his chiefs have signed the defender to a long-term deal. His contract will now run until 2028, which is a positive step considering his previous deal was set to expire at the end of the season.

Everton fans were thrilled to hear that Tarkowski had extended his stay with the Toffees, but they’re not the only ones who are pleased.

Tarkowski’s former Everton teammate, Coady, reacted to the news by commenting on his Instagram post, ” Top level, my brother.”

Coady is obviously pleased for his friend to extend his stay at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, which is a sentiment shared by Tarkowski himself.

Tarkowski has made 128 appearances for Everton throughout his time at the club, as he continues to chase down the 219 games he played for Burnley.

How is Conor Coady performing this season for Wrexham?

Coady is currently playing in the Championship this season after joining Wrexham for £2million from Leicester City during the summer transfer window.

He added some much-needed top-level experience to Phil Parkinson’s side following their promotion to the second tier of English football, and the step up has been an adjustment for the squad.

Wrexham currently sit 18th in the Championship, having won just two of their opening nine games this season.

Coady has only made five appearances in the league, having either been on the bench or not in the squad for Wrexham’s previous four fixtures.
