With the day Jaxson Dart was having, Giants head coach Brian Daboll didn’t want his rookie quarterback to be on the sideline.
Up 27-17 over the division rival Eagles in the third quarter on Thursday, Dart went down and was attended to by trainers for a minute as he laid on the turf. Then, he jumped up and ripped his helmet off as he confidently ran off of the field.
The first-round pick out of Ole Miss seemed fine, but he was ushered into the blue medical tent where he was evaluated for a concussion.
Former starting quarterback Russell Wilson came in, and the veteran proceeded to nearly take a delay of game and then throw the wrong route.
Daboll was seen on the television broadcast speaking tensely to the team doctor as Dart remained in the medical tent. That was just two snaps after Wilson entered the game. Daboll was also seen going over to peak into the medical tent.
Rookie running back Cam Skattebo also went over to the tent to check on Dart.
Shortly after, the Giants announced that Dart cleared concussion protocol and he returned to the game.
