Dele Alli has cast aside retirement rumours with some intense training footage on his social media profiles.
The Tottenham great has been without a club since having his contract at Serie A side Como terminated and reports from Italy claimed he was contemplating retirement.

However, the 29-year-old has cast doubt all over those claims by looking in fantastic shape in a training video.
Having not posted to his 8million Instagram followers since leaving Como at the end of August, Dele uploaded a clip suggesting a comeback is very much on the cards.
The footage shows warm weather training and is tagged in Bali and Indonesia with Dele not just doing fitness and strength training but also working with a ball.
It also includes the song ‘Can We Freestyle’ by Skrapz, and begins with a clip from the movie Scarface.

In this case, the 37-time England international has made it clear what ‘the world’ is to him.
“You know you can set reminders on your phone, I have a reminder at 11 o'clock every day that says, ‘World Cup 2026’,” he said when asked about his goals in April last year.
“That's my aim for now. I think that people will be like, ‘he hasn't played in a year’ but I don't care, I know my level.
“The only target I have is the World Cup right now. Obviously I'm injured and contracted to Everton and so my mind is just about taking it day by day and making sure my injury is healed and that I'm in the best possible condition after the summer.
“It's annoying because I'll be just fully training as the season ends so it means that I won't have to rush it.”

What's happened since Dele Alli left Tottenham?
At that point Dele was still on Everton’s books, having joined them after his seven-year spell as one of England’s best talents at Spurs.
Things didn’t work out with the Toffees where he made just 13 appearances, and despite things looking up with three goals in 15 games at Besiktas, injury took him out of action.
Dele would go on to bravely reveal his terrifying childhood abuse and also addiction to sleeping tablets and after saying he was ready to return, he chose Cesc Fabregas’ Como.
Why did Dele Alli leave Como?
However, just a single appearance followed in Italy which saw a red card after ten minutes against AC Milan.
He spent seven more games on the bench, and then at the end of the 2024/25 season his 18 month contract was mutually terminated with just a third of it served.
Announcing the news, the club said: "Como 1907 and Dele Alli have agreed to a mutual termination of his contract.

"Dele is keen to secure regular playing opportunities and, as he was not part of the club’s immediate plans, both parties felt it was the right decision to part ways ahead of the transfer window closing.

Dele has since been tentatively linked to a number of EFL sides, including big spenders Wrexham and Birmingham in the Championship.
However, neither team would likely be able to offer a path back to the England national team, and no concrete links have emerged either for the available free agent.
