Arsenal Put 'Concrete Offer' Worth £78M On The Table For Player Who Gianfranco Zola Claims Is Very "Similar" To Him

Arsenal are prepared to table a proposal worth up to €90m (£78m) for Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, according to reports in the Italian media.

Radio Radio claim that the Gunners will make a “concrete offer” that includes €50m (£43m) in cash, plus Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian is currently sidelined with an ACL Injury but he is valued at between €30m (£26m) and €40m (£35m).

It remains to be seen whether Juve would be open to selling Yildiz who is regarded as one of their key players despite still being just 20 years of age.

Why are Arsenal so keen to sign the player?

The Turkish international is regarded as one of the most promising prospects in European football. Speaking about Yildiz in the summer, Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola said he can see plenty of similarities between himself and the forward:

“There are players who have my characteristics, but today’s football is very different from the one I played. Let’s give an example: Yildiz of Juventus is a footballer who has qualities similar to mine, but he is not the only one.”

Would Yildiz be interested in a move to the Emirates?

Up until very recently, the Italian press have been adamant that the forward is keen to stay in Turin.

They backed up those claims by reporting that Yildiz was close to signing a new contract with Juventus, which would see his salary increase significantly.

However, there are now suggestions that negotiations have stalled, and that could provide an opening for the likes of Arsenal to make their move for the player.

Radio Radio believe a formal bid from the Gunners is more likely at the end of the season, but it is definitely a transfer story to keep a very close eye on.
