Injuries continue to decimate the Carolina Panthers’ offensive line through the first five weeks of the regular season, with two starters out for an extended period. Center Austin Corbett suffered a Grade 3 MCL sprain in Week 2, while right guard Robert Hunt has a torn biceps, and both could miss the rest of the season. Backup right guard Chandler Zavala is on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Right tackle Taylor Moton suffered an apparent elbow injury in Week 5 but managed to play every single snap. He was unable to participate in this week’s practice, raising concerns about his availability for Week 6. The Panthers will soon release their official injury report, either listing Moton as questionable, doubtful, or out.

According to Joe Person of The Athletic, the Panthers have ruled out Taylor Moton for Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys, though Dave Canales hopes he will only miss one game. This is a major blow to the rushing attack, as most of Rico Dowdle’s 206 rushing yards last week came on the right side of the offensive line, thanks to Moton. He currently has the 10th-highest run-blocking grade among offensive tackles, per PFF.
Canales says the hope is Taylor Moton will only miss one week. Mike Jackson didn’t miss a snap all week, so should be good to go. Sanders and Coker are game-time decisions. https://t.co/XCpHKTsFix

The plan is for Brady Christensen to start at right guard, while Yosh Nijman starts at right tackle. The six-foot-seven swing tackle will make his second start of the season after filling in for Ikem Ekwonu at left tackle in Week 1. Nijman has ample experience on the right side, logging 803-career snaps there versus 1,065 reps on the left side, according to PFF.
