John Terry is a Chelsea legend through and through. It's only fitting that the former Blues skipper will be taking to the field again for Chelsea this weekend as his old club takes on Liverpool in a highly anticipated legends clash at Stamford Bridge.
Terry holds the distinction of being Chelsea's most successful ever captain. During his time in west London, Terry won five Premier League titles, six FA Cups, three League Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League.
The 44-year-old was also a staple for England, appearing 78 times for the Three Lions across several major tournaments. While he later dipped his toe into coaching, with a stint at Aston Villa, Terry is predominantly known as one of the finest defenders of the Premier League era.
John Terry's net worth
Terry's net worth has been rumoured to be between £40-£50million. In 2017, Terry was ranked as one of the top 10 richest footballers in the world by Business Insider.
In 2007, Terry became the highest-paid player in the Premier League. Back in 2018 The Sunday Times Rich list claimed the former defender was worth £38.2 million.
However, his three year stint coaching Aston Villa between 2018 and 2021 was believed to have increased his bank balance to a staggering £50m.
Wife's transformation
Toni Terry tied the knot with the former Chelsea captain in 2007. The mother-of-two has now adopted a classic country-chic wardrobe in recent years, a far cry from the days when she was branded as a 'WAG'.
Toni is now often pictured in fitted tweed jackets, cashmere sweaters and designer boots, rather than her previous look which was curated of daring outfits and bleach blond hair.

The fitness influencer is one of the original wives and girlfriends who attended 2006 World Cup matches to support Terry alongside Cheryl Cole, Alex Gerrard, and Coleen Rooney. However, Toni has been a professional dressage rider since 2010 and this has helped dramatically alter her image.
In 2006, she told The Sun: "Everyone else seemed to look amazing, but I hated all the pictures I saw of me. Perhaps I should have been easier on myself — I had just had twins, after all — but this was the slightly insane world I lived in and the pressure was immense. That was the trigger for me to change my body forever."
Upsetting his family
Terry once admitted he was expecting a rough ride from his family after putting Chelsea into the fifth round of the FA Cup, at the expense of West Ham, in 2012.
It was in the 92nd minute that Terry secured the Blues a 3-2 victory. Speaking afterwards he opened up on how his goal impacted his West Ham-supporting family.

"All my family are West Ham fans and I was there for three years when I was a youngster," he said. "I was in a group with players like Paul Koncheski, who is at Charlton, Brighton's Bobby Zamora and Joe Cole.
"It was going well, but then our coach changed and no one really enjoyed it after that. I then had spells at Arsenal and Manchester United before coming to Chelsea. I am expecting a lot of stick from my family and friends after scoring that goal."
He continued: "When I fell into the crowd behind the goal in the first half I am sure some of my family were sitting a few rows back. I could hear them giving me grief then."
