Erling Haaland far from happy with Oscar Bobb after what he was doing in Norway training

Erling Haaland and Oscar Bobb are currently away from Manchester City on Norway duty together.

The duo are yet to play a game in this current international break, but are set to face Israel in a FIFA World Cup qualifier at 5pm today (Saturday 11th October).

Ahead of that clash, Norway opted to put a microphone on Erling Haaland in training – and the Manchester City No.9 could be heard calling out Oscar Bobb during a session.

Erling Haaland tells Oscar Bobb to run more

Two minutes into a TikTok video posted by Norway, cameras captured the Manchester City No.52 standing still – one hand on his hip – looking fairly disinterested.

Appearing to tease his fellow countryman, Haaland – who has stepped up this season – could be heard shouting: “Oscar! Oscar, please, can’t you start running?”

The cameras then moved elsewhere before Bobb’s reaction could be captured.

In defence of the Oslo-born winger, who did admittedly look knackered in the video, he has only recently returned from a leg fracture suffered before the start of last season, which also led to ankle and hamstring problems.

Therefore, you can understand why he might be choosing to take it a little easier in Norway training, considering just how demanding the sessions under Pep Guardiola appear to be.

Pep Guardiola is seemingly making a conscious effort to manage Oscar Bobb carefully

In some ways, Guardiola – who Jack Grealish compared to Tim Sherwood – might be pleased to see Bobb taking a few minutes to himself to recover in training.

The Spaniard is a big fan of the City Football Academy graduate, handing him 90 minutes in the 4-0 win over Wolves to kick off the current Premier League campaign, while admitting that the Citizens “missed” him during his period of recovery.

Interestingly, Guardiola then gave Bobb just three minutes of action in the Manchester derby in the fourth league game of the season, before leaving the 22-year-old on the bench for the entirety of the 1-1 draw against Arsenal the following week.

It strongly suggests the 54-year-old is particularly keen not to overload the Norwegian wonderkid, after his injury nightmare last season.
