In a little while, Spain will take on Georgia in their World Cup qualifying fixture, and manager Luis de la Fuente has announced the starting lineup that will be taking the field.
And, as many as three Barcelona stars feature in the La Roja XI that will face Georgia.
Pedri starts in the No. 10 role as usual for the national team, despite Barcelona conveying their concerns to the Spain staff over his workload due to fatigue.
Meanwhile, Ferran Torres gets the nod in attack in the absence of his Barcelona teammate Lamine Yamal, who had to withdraw from the squad due to pubic discomfort.
The third Barça player in the starting lineup for Spain happens to be teenage defender Pau Cubarsi, who pairs up with Atletico Madrid’s Robin Le Normand at the heart of the La Roja backline.
With Dani Olmo also withdrawing from the Spain squad due to a calf injury he sustained on Friday, only three Barcelona players were left in the squad and all three feature from the start against Georgia.
As such, the Blaugrana will be watching the proceedings closely, hoping that their players come out of the game unscathed.
