Trevoh Chalobah names the two Chelsea players he simply loves playing with

Trevoh Chalobah has shared which two Chelsea stars are his favourite teammates.

Like several players in the current Blues squad, Trevoh Chalobah, 26, developed in the Chelsea academy before eventually breaking into the first team at Stamford Bridge.

The central defender has enjoyed some success under Enzo Maresca, playing 33 matches across all competitions since he became head coach at the start of last season.

Unfortunately, Chalobah didn’t make the latest England squad during October’s international break. So far, his one and only senior cap for the Three Lions came in June 2025 against Senegal.

Trevoh Chalobah loves playing with Chelsea duo Tosin Adarabioyo and Cole Palmer

On The Residency app (10 October), Chalobah was asked to name his favourite Chelsea teammates.

He replied: “[Cole] Palmer and Tosin [Adarabioyo].”

In fairness, Chelsea’s entire squad should love playing with Cole Palmer. Despite his laid-back demeanour off the pitch, the attacking midfielder has the ability to transform into one of the world’s best players when he is at his peak.

As for Tosin Adarabioyo, the centre-back has played alongside Chalobah several times in the heart of defence.

Last season, Tosin praised Chalobah for the way he returned to the Chelsea side and immediately performed.

Trevoh Chalobah and the rest of the Chelsea centre-backs are under the microscope

Apart from Levi Colwill because of his ACL injury, Chelsea have a crop of central defenders vying for just two starting positions each game. It is a struggle trying to pick a standout combination as well.

On top of Tosin and Chalobah, the Blues also have Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile and Josh Acheampong.

Chalobah’s red card against Brighton has put him on the back foot because Badiashile and Acheampong swept in to impress against Liverpool before the internationals. The good news is that a busy fixture list on the horizon should result in plenty of rotation from head coach Enzo Maresca.
