The 2025-26 NBA season hasn’t even begun yet, but there are already some incredible stories. Earlier this week, LeBron James shocked the basketball world by putting out a teaser. Many fans thought that his Decision 2.0 might be the King announcing his retirement, but it turned out to be a Hennessey ad instead.
Between the time the teaser was posted and the reveal happened, prices for the final Los Angeles Lakers game of the season skyrocketed. Some fans reportedly paid over $500 for seats to the last game of the year. So when it became clear that James wasn’t announcing the end of his career, those tickets became worthless.

One of the fans who fell for it and bought tickets, Andrew Garcia, is suing James for it in Los Angeles County Small Claims Court. He recently revealed how he plans on serving the Lakers superstar if he can’t manage to do it at his residence.
The fan who is suing LeBron plans to serve him at a Laker game this season:
“If he’s unwilling to get served at his residence, the Beverly Hills address that’s listed on the filing, I’m going to have to have a process server serve him at https://t.co/Dx9dK24Koi Arena during a… pic.twitter.com/SKAD4awAqn

“In small claims, I cannot serve his representation,” Garcia said. “Even if they’re willing to accept the process. It’s a California guideline. If he’s unwilling to get served at his residence, the Beverly Hills address that’s listed on the filing, I’m going to have to have a process server serve him at Crypto.com Arena during a game. This is not going away.”

LeBron has enjoyed his fair share of courtside drama in recent memory. For example, he confronted ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith following comments about the NBA superstar’s parenting. If this happens, though, it will certainly be a first.
