Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix took to social media to announce he and his wife are expecting a child.
The Broncos are 3-2 to start the season and head into Week 6 full of confidence after a stunning comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles. Optimism is high in Denver as the AFC West franchise travels to London to take on the winless New York Jets.

Nix has reinvigorated the Broncos organization. He seized Rookie of the Year honors while Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain II insisted the team is eyeing a Super Bowl run thanks to the work of the sophomore quarterback.

However, on Friday, Nix’s mind was far from football. He and his wife, Izzy, who have been married since 2022, posted on Instagram to announce their pregnancy news.
“Nix party of 3!!! 'Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.' Jeremiah 1:5,” the post was captioned. Nix and Izzy posted a picture of the pair walking hand in hand, with the Denver quarterback holding an ultrasound in the other hand.
The couple received numerous congratulatory comments from around the NFL world. Nix’s Broncos teammate and fellow member of the quarterback room, Jarrett Stidham, offered his congratulations, as did New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez, who played with the quarterback at Oregon.
Nix and Izzy have been dating since Izzy played college football at Auburn, with the couple sharing their first Instagram post in 2021. The couple ultimately tied the knot in July 2022 in Alpine, Alabama.

The duo got married while Nix was playing at Auburn. Nix went on to play two seasons at Oregon before being drafted No. 12 overall by the Broncos in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Nix took the league by storm during his rookie season. Under head coach Sean Payton, Nix threw for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns while completing 66.3 percent of his passes as the Broncos went 10-7 and reached the playoffs for the first time since Peyton Manning’s Super Bowl 50 win.
The Broncos lost in the divisional round of the playoffs, but it was a supremely promising season for Nix. The 25-year-old has struggled at times in his sophomore campaign, although he has led the Broncos to some big wins and a winning record through five games.

Nix has thrown for 1,103 yards and eight touchdowns to just four interceptions in the 2025 NFL season. However, his quarterback rating is just 54.1.
Denver got off to a poor start, but wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and the Eagles have boosted the franchise as they travel to the UK to face the Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 12.
