We may be amid an international break, but there's never a quiet moment at Manchester United.

Since embattled head coach Ruben Amorim clinched a vital victory over Sunderland to bring United within six points of the Premier League's top spot, takeover speculation has unexpectedly emerged once again thanks to Saudi Arabia sports tycoon Turki Al-Sheikh.

The chairman of the nation's General Entertainment Authority ignited rumours with a social media post about a potential investment. Whilst it's understood the Glazers might entertain a complete sale for £5bn, club sources were reportedly caught off guard by Al-Sheikh's statement.

The Middle Eastern financial heavyweight later attempted to clarify matters with a follow-up post. And focus will shortly shift back to on-field matters and the significant challenge of facing Liverpool next Sunday.

However, there's also attention on future prospects, with defenders at contrasting stages of their careers under scrutiny...

Maguire ready to stay Harry Maguire might turn down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia to prolong his United stint, reports the Mirror.

The defender, whose Old Trafford deal expires at the end of the campaign, has attracted interest from Al-Ettifaq and Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr, with both clubs willing to pay him around £500,000 per week.

Maguire has been giving serious thought to this opportunity as his career winds down, particularly since United have shown little enthusiasm about offering him fresh terms.

However, the Red Devils are now contemplating handing Maguire one last contract after all, with discussions set to occur in the coming weeks. Maguire is reportedly aware that a switch to Saudi Arabia could harm his prospects of continuing his England career beyond the World Cup.

Rising defender Ayden Heaven picked up a concerning injury during the opening stages of England Under-20s' match against Switzerland on Friday. The 19-year-old required extensive treatment and whilst he carried on, he was substituted at the interval as a precautionary measure.

Much to United's relief, England U20s manager Ben Futcher doesn't think the injury is particularly severe. He commented: "He picked something up. I don't think it is too serious but we will have to see how it settles down."

Heaven has been a consistent presence on United's bench this season and is anticipated to feature in the Liverpool fixture.
