Pedro Neto is one of a number of Chelsea players who are currently representing their nation during the international break, and he started for Portugal as they secured a narrow victory against Ireland.
The winger has enjoyed a strong start to the season at Stamford Bridge, seeing him become a starter for his nation despite a plethora of talent in their attack.
Neto recently starred in the Champions League against Benfica, likely leaving an impact on the Portuguese national team as one of their better teams were defeated by the Blues.
He started on the right for his country, playing for just over an hour before being replaced by former transfer target Rafael Leao.

Pedro Neto outshines former Chelsea target Rafael Leao on international duty
Despite the only goal of the game not coming until late, It seems there was far more aspects from Portugal’s performance when he was on the pitch.
A Bola stated that the team suffered when Leao replaced Neto, with the Chelsea man having one of the more positive performances for his side.
They said: “Only his runs were able to unbalance the Irish defense’s 5-4-1. He crossed too many times and dribbled or accelerated too little, but his performances were one of the most positive. Substituted by Leão, the team suffered.”
The winger will no doubt have an eye on returning to the starting side at Stamford Bridge when the international break comes to an end, however will face significant competition when he gets back.
