The New York Jets will make the trip across the pond for a Week 6 matchup with the Denver Broncos in London today. It will be the third time the Jets have played a game in the UK in their history, and it comes at a time when this organization is desperate for any semblance of momentum.
The Jets enter this game with an 0-5 record, still looking for the first win of the Aaron Glenn era. They're the only winless team remaining in the NFL and are fresh off another humiliating blowout home loss to the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday.
Unfortunately, their path to victory won't get any easier this week against Denver's dominant defense. Broncos pass rusher Nik Bonitto has more sacks this season than the entire Jets' roster, while old friend John Franklin-Myers is playing some of the best football of his career.
The good news for the Jets is that two key players are set to return this week. Defensive end Jermaine Johnson (ankle) and kick returner Kene Nwangwu are both off the injury report and will play today after missing the last few weeks.
There will still be a handful of absences for Gang Green, though. Nickel cornerback Michael Carter II (concussion) and wide receiver Allen Lazard (personal) are both out for today's game. Cornerback Brandon Stephens is questionable with a neck injury.
As for Denver, backup linebacker Jonah Eliss (ribs/shoulder) and left guard Ben Powers (biceps) have both been ruled out. Powers was placed on the IR on Saturday, sidelining him for a minimum of four games. Defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (calf) was activated from the IR and is listed as questionable.
Who are the official inactives for both the Jets and the Broncos today? We've got you covered.
