Basketball fans of all ages now have a new fast-paced cutesy mascot baller title to play on PS5.

It’s £45, so quite costly, but developer Outright Games aims for it to be a ‘family friendly’ sport game for everyone by staying simplistic in its methods.
The result is a fast, fun, frantic game of B-ball where your critters go head-to-head with other cartoony characters.
Controls are basic with a handful of core moves keeping the gameplay straightforward for those pick-up-and-play console owners.
It’s got an arcade feel, this is not a simulator by any stretch of the imagination.

For fans of the sport there are 30 NBA teams like the Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks to represent as.
And gamers can go from rookie to pro unlocking cool jerseys, sneakers and mascots along the way.
Players can enjoy a variety of modes, from fast-paced 3v3 Quick Matches and full NBA Seasons to custom tournaments for up to four local players.
Play solo or in co-op, with easy controls and game modes like Training, Full Season and Party Mode this is an easy to get title without too many confusing menus and systems.

But that in turn means not a huge amount under the hood.
And at that price, it’s quite a lot for quite a little.
