Moisés Caicedo Reveals Close Bond with Ex-Chelsea Teammate

Chelsea star Moises Caicedo has revealed his best friend at the club was Nicolas Jackson before his departure. The Senegal international joined the club in the same summer as Caicedo and the pair enjoyed a close relationship in West London.

Speaking in a recent discussion on Ecuadorian outlet Piso 17, Caicedo discussed his friendship with the forward saying:

“My best friend at Chelsea was Jackson but he left the team. I used to go everywhere with him. He went to my house, I went to his. We played on the PlayStation and I always beat him!”

Caicedo and Jackson played 5390 minutes for Chelsea across 75 games, averaging 1.85 points per game and combining for five goals at the club. The pair were instrumental to the West London club winning the UEFA Conference League and Club World Cup last season.

Nicolas Jackson Implies Chelsea Forced Him to Train Alone

Former Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has implied the club forced him to train alone before his loan move to Bayern Munich this summer. The Senegal international recently joined Bayern Munich on a loan with an option to be made permanent after he was deemed surplus to requirements in West London.

Speaking to the press after he scored his first goal for the Bavarian giants against Pafos in the Champions League, Jackson revealed he was still coming up to speed after being forced to train alone, saying:

“It wasn’t easy but we played a very good game and worked hard. I’m very happy to score my first goal for the club. I’m still getting back to full fitness because I hadn’t played and trained alone for two months.

“I’m working hard every day. I’m very happy here, everyone welcomed me very well. I feel at home. We’ll see what the future brings.”

Jackson joined Chelsea in the summer of 2023 from Spanish outfit Villarreal for a reported €37 million. He scored 30 times while providing 12 assists in 81 games to help the Blues to the UEFA Conference League and Club World Cup. However, he saw his position at the club change after the West Londoners completed deals to sign Liam Delap and Joao Pedro during the Club World Cup.
