One week removed from a marquee win over the previously undefeated Bills in prime time, the Patriots are in New Orleans to face the 1-4 Saints.

All eyes will be on Drake Maye, who led the Patriots on the first game-winning drive of his career to seal the win in Buffalo and became the talk of the NFL as a result.

The Saints are coming off their first win of the season (and first of quarterback Spencer Rattler’s career), a 26-14 victory over the Giants. Under rookie coach Kellen Moore, the Saints rank 27th in the league in points scored (18.4 per game) and 24th in points allowed (27.0 per game).

After returning to the field in Week 5, Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez is again questionable after popping up on injury report.

We’ll have live updates and analysis throughout Sunday’s game in New Orleans, which kicks off at 1 p.m. EDT on CBS. Follow along.

Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Saints, according to Mike Vrabel.

The coach made the announcement after Friday’s practice, and suggested Gonzalez would be a game-day decision.

“We’ll continue to monitor him and see where that goes, and try to make a decision at 10:30 Central time, 90 minutes before the game,” Vrabel said. “So, that’s where we’re at, and we’ll have to have a plan if he doesn’t go. And we’ll have a plan if he does go, just like everybody else.”

The Patriots traveled to New Orleans Saturday to take on the 1-4 Saints on Sunday.

Here are five things to watch for …

How will the coaching staff split the running back snaps?

After placing Antonio Gibson on injured reserve with a torn ACL, the Patriots elevated Terrell Jennings from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.

The 24-year-old Jennings (6 feet, 217 pounds) said this week he believes he can bring a “downhill physicality” to the offense, specifically mentioning his ability to break tackles.

This weekend will mark the first opportunity for Jennings to play meaningful snaps in the NFL. After going undrafted out of Florida A&M in 2024, he spent last season on New England’s practice squad. He recorded just 38 snaps in three games — the bulk of which came in the regular-season finale — rushing 13 times for 33 yards.
