The Pittsburgh Steelers will resume play after a bye week, and will host their old rival, the Cleveland Browns, on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET. The Steelers are aiming for a third consecutive win after losing their home opener in Week 2.
Pittsburgh will continue on a quest to remain at the top of the AFC North. The Steelers are the only team in the division with a winning record. The last time Pittsburgh won four of its first five games was the 2016 season.
With Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson both out, the Steelers should take advantage of the opportunity to build a cushion at the top of the division. This is a game that they are supposed to win if gunning to ultimately claim the AFC North crown. The Browns come in at 1-4 and are already looking to the future.

We are not suggesting that the Browns will actually win this game, but divisional games tend to often be closer than a spread like this might suggest. Familiar opponents like these know each other well and this may not be the one-sided affair signaled by the spread.
Cleveland is coming off a four-point loss to Minnesota in London. The Steelers and Browns have also split their last six overall meetings, Yes, Cleveland is featuring key rookies at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end. But Pittsburgh is also relying on a QB who is past his prime and will be without a starting WR this week., so these offenses are not too far apart in potential.
This game carries the lowest over/under total of the week. The Browns and their opponents have both cleared the projected number in both of their road games this season. RB Quinshon Judkins has been an instant performer, while WR Isaiah Bond and TE Harold Fannin are very promising first-year playmakers.
The one major difference between these teams on offense is Metcalf, who stands out as the biggest difference-making talent on either side of the ball. Cleveland has allowed seven TD passes to WRs, which is tied for second-most in the NFL. The Browns’ defense may not be as stingy against the pass as their defensive reputation might indicate.

How the Steelers can win as the favorite
Best odds:-275 at Fanatics Sportsbook
Aaron Rodgers may not be the gunner he once was, yet he still knows how to direct a winning offense. In Week 4, he was highly efficient against Minnesota, completing 18 of 22 attempts. He and Metcalf have quickly developed a strong on-field connection. In Week 4, the star WR caught five passes for 126 yards and a TD.
Jaylen Warren will return from a knee injury this week. After how well Kenneth Gainwell played in his place in Week 4, though, the Steelers could employ more of a dual RB attack to further challenge defenses. Gainwell totaled 134 yards from scrimmage and rushed for two TDs,
T.J. Watt will certainly harass Browns rookie QB Dillon Gabriel as much as he bothers every other passer. Watt registered his third sack off the season and also intercepted a pass. Nick Herbig and Keeanu Benton had 1.5 sacks each in Week 4. Gabriel is going to be facing a fearsome front in his second pro start.
How the Browns can win as the underdog
Best odds:+220 at Fanatics Sportsbook
Judkins will be essential in easing pressure on Gabriel while also attacking the Steelers run defense. He rushed for a career-high 110 yards last week. Judkins ranks second among rookies with 347 rushing yards and is fourth with 409 scrimmage yards in 2025.
If the running game is steady, then Pittsburgh’s pass pressure might not be quite as overwhelming against Gabriel. Myles Garrett relishes facing the Steelers, and Rodgers is not as mobile as he once was.
Garrett had a sack and a forced fumble in his last meeting with Pittsburgh and can keep the Browns in the game with his frequent offensive disruptions.
