Dolphins fans fly banner above Hard Rock Stadium for third consecutive home game

Miami Dolphins aren’t letting up when it comes to showing their dissatisfaction with the state of their beloved franchise.

Ahead of the Dolphins’ matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, another plane took to the Miami Gardens skies with a banner trailing behind that read: “FIRE GRIER & MCDANIEL.”

The Dolphins are off to a 1-4 start and coming off a 27-24 loss at Carolina in a game in which they blew a 17-0 lead.

A similar plane flew above Hard Rock before Miami’s loss to the Patriots on Sept. 14, and before their Monday Night Football game on Sept. 29 against the New York Jets.

This time, the banner did not include starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, interestingly after Tagovailoa threw for 256 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions against the Panthers. Tagovailoa had just five touchdowns and four interceptions, and only 575 passing yards in the first three games of the season.

The awful start to the 2025-26 NFL season has Grier, McDaniel and Tagovailoa under the microscope. Grier has been the GM since 2016 and has only guided Miami to the playoffs three times, with a trip to the postseason already looking unlikely this year. McDaniel is in his fourth season as coach and, after leading the Dolphins to the playoffs in each of his first two seasons, had lost 13 of his last 22 games entering this week.
