Justin Fields just delivered one of the worst quarterback performances in New York Jets franchise history.

He finished 9-of-17 for 45 passing yards, and he was sacked nine times by the Denver Broncos defense. After the game, head coach Aaron Glenn was asked if Fields would remain his starting QB.

Media: “Is he going to be your quarterback next week?”

AG: “Come on, man, what kind of question is that?”

Media: “He did not have a good game. I mean, I think it’s a fair question.”

AG: “There was a number of guys that you know, sometimes the league is like this [up and down] and there are guys who have bad games. That doesn’t mean you bench him. You know better than that.”

Top Social Media Reactions to Fields’ Inept Performance

NFL Insider Connor Hughes of SNY posted on social media, “Justin Fields will start next week. Aaron Glenn [isn’t] considering a QB change at all. Said it’s not all on Fields. The Jets finished with -10 passing yards today.”

ESPN’s Rich Cimini said, “The Jets make the wrong kind of history: The -10 net pass yds is the worst in a game in Jets history and the worst by any team since the San Diego Chargers had -19 on Sept. 20, 1998 (against Chiefs), via ESPN Research.”
