The Saints have a response to rumors that Alvin Kamara is on the trading block

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been the subject of trade rumors, but he appears committed to playing for the only NFL team he's ever known.

A recent report from NFL.com's Ian Rapoport said, "do not" expect Kamara to be traded before this year's NFL trade deadline despite other teams expressing interest. Kamara told Saints general manager Mickey Loomis that he'd like to remain with the Saints for the rest of his career, according to sources.

The Saints appeared to address the Kamara trade rumors on social media, posting a photo of the veteran running back before the start of Sunday's matchup against the New England Patriots with the caption, "Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saint."

The running back-needy Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs are among the teams reportedly calling about the availability of veteran running backs such as Kamara, who was also the subject of trade rumors last season.

Kamara, who in his ninth NFL season, was drafted by the Saints in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and is a five-time Pro Bowl selection.
