Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers are dropping like flies.
The team already put Jalen McMillan and Jaden Smith on injured reserve, and both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were ruled out for Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, leaving star rookie Emeka Egbuka as Baker Mayfield's No. 1 target by default.
But late in the first half of that 49ers game, the Buccaneers suffered another potentially crushing injury when Egbuka, who had just two catches for 24 yards, left because of a hamstring injury.
"#Bucs rookie sensation WR Emeka Egbuka is doubtful to return to today’s game because of a hamstring injury," NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

Egbuka's injury leaves the Bucs to finish Sunday's game with Sterling Shepard, Tez Johnson, Ryan Miller and Kameron Johnson as Mayfield's lone wideouts.
The 2025 first-round pick entered Week 6 as Tampa's leading receiver, logging 25 catches on 38 targets for 445 yards and five touchdowns.
Among rookie WRs, Egbuka ranked first in receptions, targets, yards, touchdowns, and yards after the catch (151), and he's second in contested catches (six), and fourth in yards per reception (17.4), per Pro Football Focus.
