Cleveland Browns edge rusher Myles Garrett was shutout against the Pittsburgh Steelers will zero sacks. Garrett had just one pressure as the Steelers rolled away from him for most of the game, and the star admitted that even if he were unblocked on some plays, he had no chance.
"They stopped us as a D-line front. They got in chunk formations. They chipped after [Aaron Rodgers] got the ball out. ... There weren’t a lot of situations where, even if I was running butt-ass naked, I could’ve gotten there," Garrett said.
Garrett, who requested a trade this offseason only to re-sign for a record-setting deal, admitted that it was hard to continue losing as much as he has with the Browns. When asked about the Steelers’ pass rush teeing off when ahead, Garrett had a simple response.
“Must be nice.”
Garrett has still been uber-productive despite Cleveland falling behind time and time again, but he is now 29 years old, and has a desire to win football games.
The Browns made him the key piece of their franchise with his massive extension this offseason. Yet, if they can not turn the ship around and end up winning more games, the road could get rocky between Garrett and the Browns.
