Sacramento Kings forward Keegan Murray suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament of the left thumb. Murray will undergo surgery and be re-evaluated in approximately 4-6 weeks, team says.
Murray had 9 points and 5 boards and was a +11 in 16 minutes, all played in the first half. The injury may have occurred as he was fouled on a shot attempted by Shaedon Sharpe in the waning moments of the second quarter (Murray converted the and-one).
Murray averaged 12.4 points and 6.7 board last year for the Kings in 34 minutes per game. Keegan Murray is the twin brother to Blazers forward Kris Murray.
