KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WIBW) - The Kansas City Chiefs faced a daunting task on Sunday Night Football, playing host to the 4-1 Detroit Lions.
Behind a sharp performance from Patrick Mahomes, who threw for 3 touchdowns and ran in another, and a strong showing from the defense, the Chiefs took down the Lions, 30-17.
Kansas City didn’t commit its first penalty of the game until there were 2 and a half minutes left in the 4th quarter. The Chiefs improve to 3-3 and will host the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 19 at noon.
