Everton have agreed a new long-term contract with England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, which will be officially signed this week, GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano has reported.
The Toffees have reportedly reached a breakthrough in talks with the 31-year-old shot-stopper, with fresh terms approved by Pickford’s camp.
Pickford’s current contract was due to expire in less than two years and Everton were keen to address his situation amid their positive start to the season under David Moyes.
The Merseysiders have suffered just two defeats in their opening seven Premier League games, with Pickford keeping two clean sheets and conceding seven goals in the process.
Pickford’s new deal follows recent extensions for defensive duo James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite, who have committed their futures to the club until 2028 and 2030 respectively.

Romano, writing on X, reported that Pickford’s new deal will be officially signed next week, with an agreement over fresh terms completed and approved by the goalkeeper’s camp.
Pickford joined Everton from Sunderland in the summer of 2017 and has been irreplaceable in goal since, making his 300th Premier League appearance for the Toffees in last weekend’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
The 'outstanding' 31-year-old has kept 85 league clean sheets, conceded 416 goals, and was named Everton Player of the Season four times –in 2017-18, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24.
Pickford has also been England’s first-choice goalkeeper for the past seven years, making 79 appearances and featuring in four major tournaments, helping the Three Lions reach the European Championship finals in 2021 and 2024.
According to reports, Everton are also expected to address midfielder James Garner’s future soon, with his terms set to be renegotiated.
Garner is among the players whose current deals expire at the end of the campaign, alongside Vitaliy Mykolenko, Michael Keane, Idrissa Gueye and Seamus Coleman.
Everton sit eighth in the Premier League after seven games and next face Manchester City away at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
