Packers’ Josh Jacobs admits feeling bad for new teammate after Week 6 win against Bengals

With Brandon McManus sidelined with an injured quadriceps, the Green Bay Packers had to search for a kicker to play the position on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals at Lambeau Field. They found one in Lucas Havrisik, who delivered the goods for the team.

Havrisik went 2-for-2 on field goal attempts, including the one from 39 yards out late in the fourth quarter that sealed the deal for a Green Bay victory.

Meanwhile, Josh Jacobs had another prolific performance. He led the Packers with 93 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. The former Alabama Crimson Tide star also caught five passes for 57 receiving yards for Green Bay, which improved to 3-1-1 on the season.

After the game, the Packer star running back admitted that he had no idea who Havrisik was when the kicker joined the team.

“I don’t even know his name,” running back Josh Jacobs admitted. “I feel bad saying that, but he came in and made some big-time kicks for us. So, he got the game ball. He deserved it.

Well, Jacobs and millions of Packers fans now know who Havrisik is after he helped them get by Cincinnati.

Before getting signed by Green Bay, Havrisik’s most recent appearance in an NFL game was with the Los Angeles Rams way back in 2023, when he played nine games and made 15 of 20 field goal attempts and 19 of 22 extra-point kicks.
