Brandon Beane has been the Buffalo Bills general manager since 2017, as he has helped oversee one of the most successful stretches in franchise history.
Still, as the Bills look for their first Super Bowl victory, Buffalo is trying to figure out how to maximize the roster around quarterback Josh Allen. In the 2025 offseason, everyone had an opinion on whether the Bills did enough to add wide receiver talent to the team.
It got to the point where Beane was fed up with the criticisms and spoke back at those questioning him on a radio show. Throughout the season, Beane is hoping that his comments hold true and as Buffalo remains one of the top teams in the league.
Here's a breakdown of why many have questioned Beane's wide receiver additions.

Brandon Beane WR comments
After the Bills didn't address the wide receiver with big-name additions in the offseason, Bills fans and media were wondering about their plan at the position. Brandon Beane was asked about this on "The Jeremy and Joe Show" on WGR Sports Radio 550 after the 2025 draft, at which point Beane snapped.
"Well, you guys were b----ing in 2018 about Josh Allen, you guys wanted Josh Rosen, and now you guys are b----ing that we don't have a receiver," Beane said. "We just scored 30 points in a row for eight straight games. A year ago, I get you guys asking why we didn't have receivers, but I don't understand it now."
Beane continued by saying the team's offensive success in 2024 should be proof that Buffalo knows what it's doing.
"You just saw us lead the league in points, when you add all the postseason, no one scored more points than the Buffalo Bills, including the Super Bowl champions," he said." So, you just saw us do it without Stefon Diggs, same group. How is this group not better than last year's group? Our job is to score points and win games. Where do we need to get better? Defense. We did that. So, I get it, you got to have a show, and you got to have something to bitch about, but bitching about wide receiver is one of the dumbest arguments I've heard."
