Man United make approach for 20-yr-old Brazil wonderkid Breno Bidon with£8m bid already made

Manchester United are shopping for a new midfielder and Brazilian star Breno Bidon is the latest name to be linked with a move.

Ineos spent the final weeks of the summer transfer window shopping for a new midfielder, but ultimately decided to remain patient.

Manchester United showed interest in Carlos Baleba but ultimately decided to walk away after Brighton’s £100 million demands.

A midfielder will be a top priority in 2026, and so far, Ineos’ transfer strategy has been to sign young, promising players who can develop into superstars.

Corinthians midfielder Breno Bidon could be the next youngster on United’s radar, and it seems there is already movement behind the scenes on a potential deal.

Breno Bidon linked with Man United move

According to Brazilian outlet UOL, United are one of several clubs who are keeping tabs on 20-year-old midfielder Breno.

Napoli, Manchester City and Wolves are named alongside United as clubs that have made an approach to begin negotiations, while there are also offers from Zenit and the Middle East.

It is also reported that Dutch side PSV have already tabled an offer of £8m (€9m), which could put pressure on other teams to make their move quickly.

United will face fierce competition to secure Breno’s signature, but with Casemiro in the final year of his contract, the Red Devils can offer a clear pathway to first-team football.

Breno recently extended his contract at Corinthians until 2029, so the Brazilian side is under no pressure to sell the talented midfielder for a cut price.

Ineos have been keen to re-wire United’s transfer outlook and make the most of the club’s expansive scouting system – especially in South America.

Diego Leon was signed for £7m following his impressive rise in Paraguay, and the latest interest in Breno has a similar feel to it.

Breno came through the Corinthians academy and has been a part of their first team since the 2023/24 campaign.

The young midfielder, who is also a key member of Brazil’s Under-20s side, often plays as an advanced midfielder or even as a right-sided attacker.

TNT Sports in Brazil reported as early as 2023 that Breno has attracted interest from Bayern Munich following his success at Corinthians.
