Everton couldn’t get everything done in one summer transfer window, so they’re expected to dip into the market this winter.
David Moyes was able to recruit nine players, with Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall proving to be the most successful signings so far.
Moyes still wants to bring in another striker, though, as Beto and Thierno Barry are struggling to make the grade at the moment.
Everton do have their eye on a Premier League striker, and Erik ten Hag has already given his seal of approval.

What Erik ten Hag has said about Everton target Joshua Zirkzee
Everton News understands Moyes is interested in Joshua Zirkzee and is considering a move to sign the Manchester United frontman in January.
Zirkzee hasn’t started a single game this season and is open to leaving for another club in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old would be a top signing for the Toffees and former United boss Erik ten Hag has previously said he has the attributes to become a prolific goalscorer
“Yes I do (think he can become a prolific goalscorer),” the Dutchman told Manchester United’s website in September 2024.

“Sure, he is young. We see his great abilities. He is a very good link-up player, as you say, he is creative.
“He is creating chances but be fair, also he has his moments towards the goal from the opposition. I think it was a great action he had (against FC Twente) and a great finish he had, top save from the keeper but in that area he can definitely improve.
“We know he has some very good attributes, and he has to improve, and he needs our support on how to improve.”
Joshua Zirkzee also wanted by Roma
Clearly, the Friedkin Group and their chiefs hugely admire Zirkzee as they’re interested in signing him for Roma.
That’s according to the Roma Press, who claim the Everton owners are eyeing him for their Italian side, so it remains to be seen which club will take priority.
A similar instance happened in the summer, as both Everton and Roma wanted to sign Wesley Franca, but he ended up joining the Serie A giants.
Zirkzee will likely command a fee in the region of £30m, so it won’t be an easy deal to complete for the Toffees.
They may have to raise funds through player sales to make that deal materialise.
