Man Utd face Liverpool FC in the Premier League this weekend and here is the latest injury news.

Liverpool have been handed a fresh injury scare ahead of their clash with Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend. The two clubs are back in action after the October international break when they meet at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Ruben Amorim's side head into the match 10th in the league following their 2-0 victory over Sunderland last time out, while Liverpool have dropped to second after they lost consecutive matches against Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

United and Liverpool both know a victory is needed to kickstart a resurgence in form and the home side could be without a key player from the start after a recent injury scare during the international break. Ibrahima Konate withdrew from the France squad as a result of a thigh injury suffered against Chelsea, and he could be joined on the sidelines by another teammate.

Ryan Gravenberch injury scare

Liverpool could be without Ryan Gravenberch when they host Manchester United on Sunday afternoon. The 23-year-old started for the Netherlands in their 4-0 victory over Finland over the weekend, but was withdrawn at half-time with a potential hamstring issue.

The Netherlands were already 3-0 up when Gravenberch was replaced by Man City star Tijani Reijnders and speaking after the win, manager Ronald Koeman provided a brief fitness update on the Liverpool ace.

“Ryan indicated he was experiencing some minor hamstring discomfort," Koeman told NOS. “We obviously didn't take any risks with that.”

There was a more promising update provided by the player himself, who insisted his withdrawal was simply a precautionary measure to avoid any serious issue. “It had a bit to do with fitness. The season is long, so it was a precaution," Gravenberch told VoetbalPrimeur. “I'm feeling good and I have the coach's confidence.”

Arne Slot will give a full team news update when he holds his pre-match press conference later in the week with an update also expected on Konate after he withdrew from the France squad. Alisson and Wataru Endo are both sidelined with hamstring issues and earlier this month Slot confirmed Alisson would not represent Brazil during the international break and claimed he would ‘be surprised’ if the goalkeeper was fit enough to return against United.

Giovanni Leoni has already been ruled out for the remainder of the season after he suffered an ACL injury.
