Real Madrid monitoring Arsenal wonderkid

Premier League leaders Arsenal will hope to maintain their advantage at the top of the table when they face Fulham on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side moved into top spot courtesy of a 2-0 win against struggling West Ham United last time out, and the Spaniard will expect to see his side continue their strong run of form when they visit Craven Cottage.

The Gunners will be without captain Martin Odegaard for the clash against the Cottagers, with the Norwegian set to be absent until mid-November.

That could allow other members of Arteta’s squad a chance to impress, although it has emerged that one of Arsenal’s most talented youngsters is attracting interest from one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

As per TBR Football, Spanish giants Real Madrid have been aware of Gunners teenager Max Dowman since 2022, with the youngster once again on the radar of the La Liga giants.

The report claims that the Spanish side have been aware of the player since he competed in the Madrid Football Cup – a tournament for children – in 2022 at the age of just 12.

Dowman, now 15, was handed his senior debut for the Gunners against Leeds United earlier this season, and won a penalty after being substituted on against the Whites.

He has since made further appearances against Liverpool in the Premier League and Port Vale in the Carabao Cup.

It is claimed that, while Real Madrid are aware of Dowman and his recent progress at The Emirates, the Spanish side boast an extensive scouting network and therefore believe that they are aware of every talented young player.

Dowman’s versatility could also benefit Arteta’s side this season, with the teenager able to operate in a number of positions including as an attacking midfielder or on the right flank.
