Behdad Eghbali's stance on selling Chelsea stake after approach from Middle East - journalist

Chelsea were only taken over by Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali in 2022, but it looks as though the Blues are already attracting interest from other investors.

There have already been many ups and downs for Boehly and Eghbali as owners.

They oversaw the club’s miserable 2022/23 campaign, where Chelsea finished 12th in the Premier League table.

However, Boehly and Eghbali got their hands on two trophies last season after Enzo Maresca‘s men won the Club World Cup and Conference League.

Behdad Eghbali has no plans to sell Chelsea stake

It has been reported that Boehly and Eghbali have not always seen eye to eye on some matters, but neither party seems prepared to sell their stake in the club.

In fact, journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that a Middle Eastern group have made an approach to buy the Blues but Eghbali and Clearlake Capital have no interest in selling.

Eghbali has been seen at some Chelsea games this season, including the 3-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Eghbali went into the dressing room after the loss, but it has become public knowledge that the Chelsea co-owner and other directors often do that regardless of the result.

It was a game to forget, but Chelsea were at least able to win their last home match, beating Liverpool 2-1 just before the international break.
