The team’s coaching staff will try to make sure that he’s ready to face both Juventus and Barcelona immediately after the match in Getafe and there’s optimism around the club about his availability for both games, according to a report from The Athletic.
Huijsen is an undisputed starter for Xabi Alonso, so rushing him back would make no sense if that increases the risk of him missing the crucial El Clásico against Barcelona. In his absence, Raúl Asencio and Eder Militao will likely be the ones starting in the center of Real Madrid’s defensive line, although Aurelien Tchouameni could also play in that spot if Xabi Alonso wants to give Eduardo Camavinga a chance to start as a defensive midfielder.
