It finally came out publicly.
Abdullah Ahmed, a 6-10 post prospect from Egypt, could be a possibility for UCLA – this season.
Ahmed played his last two years in the NBA G League with the Westchester Knicks. Just like another recent G Leaguer, Thierry Darian, he was recognized as eligible to play college basketball by the NCAA.
UCLA's Mick Cronin has a connection to Ahmed, so UCLA was immediately a consideration for him when he became college eligible a couple weeks ago.
Louisville, Auburn, BYU, Houston, and Mississippi State have also shown interest.
