Man United are set for a couple of busy years in the summer transfer window as Ruben Amorim looks to improve.
Man United are always active in the summer transfer window, as they showed last year by spending over £170m on new players, including Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo.
Ruben Amorim will be keen to add more talent in the next summer transfer window and beyond, as United look to build under the former Sporting CP manager, who would love to be the man to help the club to its former glory.
But what could Man United’s next two summer transfer windows look like? Who could leave and who could join? We asked ChatGPT to predict what could happen at Old Trafford...
United sign star PL defender to replace Maguire in summer 2026
Firstly, looking at sales, Casemiro and Harry Maguire’s contracts are expected to expire at the end of the season, and AI predicted that United would allow them to both leave in the summer transfer window. Furthermore, it predicted that Onana’s loan move to Trabzonspor would be made permanent.
In terms of signings, defensive midfielder Ederson has been linked to United in the past, and AI thinks that the Red Devils will sign him over the likes of Carlos Baleba and Adam Wharton to strengthen the midfield.
The other predicted summer signing is Everton’s Branthwaite, who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past. The Red Devils aren’t currently in the market for a centre-back, but if Maguire leaves, Branthwaite could be the long-term replacement for the England international.

Looking ahead to 2027, the major story is the departure of Bruno Fernandes, who AI thinks Man United will sell, likely to the Saudi Pro League amid the interest in him during the last summer window.
Luke Shaw and Altay Bayindir are also predicted to be sold in 2027, to help generate some extra funds for the Red Devils to bring in their summer signings.
Firstly, attacking midfielder Sancet comes in. The 25-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal. He is becoming one of the best creative midfielders in La Liga. On top of that, AI thinks United will also sign Sampdoria youngster Pafundi, who plays as a forward, he could become a top-class striker in the future.
French right-back Kumbedi is currently on loan at Wolfsburg, but the 20-year-old plays for Lyon. He is also more of a signing for the future, and could become a reliable wing-back option in Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation.
Finally, somewhat of a surprising suggestion, AI thinks the Red Devils will sign current Tottenham forward Randal Kolo Muani, who is on loan in North London from PSG. If United were to sign him, he could challenge Benjamin Sesko for the starting striker role at Old Trafford.
