Former Alabama quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa made some eyebrow-raising comments following the Miami Dolphins’ 29-27 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Tagovailoa threw three interceptions on 21 of 32 passes attempts to go along with a touchdown and 205 yards in Sunday’s loss. The Miami signal caller turned his attention to his teammates and his leadership after the game.

“I think it starts with the leadership and helping articulate that for the guys,” Tagovailoa said. “And then, what we’re expecting out the guys, right? We’re expecting this, ‘are we getting that? Are we not getting that? We have guys showing up to player only meetings late, guys not showing up to player only meetings. Like, there’s a lot that goes into it. ‘Do we have to make this mandatory? ‘Do we not have to make this mandatory? So it’s a lot of things of that nature that we’ve gotta get cleaned up, and it starts with the little things like that.”

Tagovailoa doubled down on these initial comments when asked for clarification, further confirming that Dolphins players were indeed ‘late.’

Tagovailoa and Miami now go back to the drawing board in efforts to right the ship against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
