Man City could be without four players for their next game against Everton after the international break.
Man City went into the international break in a solid position, after they climbed to fifth in the Premier League table with a 1-0 win against Brentford before the break. They return this weekend at the Etihad Stadium for a tough matchup with David Moyes’ Everton.
A win for Man City could leave them level on points with league leaders Arsenal, who play in the Saturday evening match against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Heading into the game, City have a few injury problems, including a fresh issue with Rodri, who hasn’t long recovered from his long-term ACL injury.
Although City aren’t the only ones with injury concerns, as Everton could also be without three players, including two key centre-backs who could make Erling Haaland’s job harder if they were to start.
Everton injury news
Everton have three players listed as injured currently, all three are in doubt, and could feature if all goes well for them ahead of the Man City game. Firstly, central midfielder Merlin Rohl is dealing with a long-term groin injury. It is understood that he is starting to get back on grass, and could be fit for the game on Saturday. However, it is less likely that he will return.
Defender Michael Keane is also a concern, with the English centre-back dealing with a rib injury. After Everton’s last game against Crystal Palace, Moyes said: “He got something between his ribs. I don’t really know the outcome.”
Keane is currently being assessed ahead of Saturday.
Finally, key defender Jarrad Branthwaite is also listed with a hamstring injury. He is working to be available after the international break, but is still being assessed and it is not yet clear whether he will feature against City.

Man City injury news
The Cityzens could be without four players on Saturday. Rodri is the only name who has been ruled out, as he suffered an aggravation of his hamstring injury, which could keep him out for a couple of weeks. Pep Guardiola said: “Of course, I don't want to lose him even a little bit, but it is a pity because he is such an important player. We tried to take care of him, but it is what it is.”
In terms of doubts, Omar Marmoush could make his awaited return from his knee injury, as it was initially understood that he would be able to come back before the international break. It now seems that Saturday could be the return for Marmoush; He is currently being assessed.
Rayan Ait-Nouri is also a doubt with an ankle injury. There has been no update on him over the international break, and so he remains a potential to come back against Everton.
Finally, Abdukodir Khusanov could also potentially miss the game with a minor ankle injury that he suffered in City’s last game against Brentford. It isn’t expected to be a major issue, and so he should be available to play against Everton on Saturday.
