Marcus Rashford has started his new chapter at Barcelona in a fantastic way after joining from Manchester United.
Despite being out of the equation for weeks at Old Trafford, he arrived in a good physical condition at the club and his start of the season has been excellent so far: four goals, four assists in the last seven games, with sources close to Hansi Flick suggesting he’s “very happy” with the impact had by the English star.
Rashford has Been 'Perfect' at Barcelona After Summer Move

Sources also add it’s not only about the numbers, goals, assists and more. Rashford's behaviour and attitude have been perfect, he has an excellent connection with his teammates, and he's always respecting the coach’s decisions, training hard and adapting in the best way possible to a new league, new city, and a new life. The impact has been described as being very positive.
What’s going to happen next? It’s still October and too early to predict Rashford’s future at Barcelona, but the start has been superb and everyone at the club can imagine Rashford staying beyond this season, if he will continue performing in this way.
It’s the feeling people in management and technical staff both share; and it’d also be Rashford's desire, as he only wanted Barcelona this summer. Rashford also pushed for a move to Barcelona last January, but it wasn’t possible due to Ansu Fati’s decision to stay after he rejected proposals from France and England.
No Penalty Clause in Marcus Rashford Agreement

Barcelona signed Rashford on loan with a €30m buy option clause which is not mandatory. This is the fee for the buy clause and not higher as was reported by several media in July; but Rashford's salary would also be an important topic as he reduced his salary this season to join Barca - but in the case of a long-term deal it’d be another point of discussion.
Sources at Barca also play down reports of a penalty clause in case they don’t sign Rashford on a permanent deal in the summer of 2026; there’s nothing written into it similar to the Sancho case last season with Chelsea.
This is an open decision for Barcelona, with very good feelings so far.
