Jordan Love sets lofty expectations for rest of the Packers’ season

The Packers survived against Joe Flacco and the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, in large part thanks to quarterback Jordan Love’s efficiency and throttling down on a physical offensive approach down the stretch.

Love finished Sunday’s game passing for 259 yards with one touchdown and one interception powering a 27-18 win while finishing with a 101. 3 passer rating.

Following Green Bay holding serve, and the Lions falling to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, the Packers sit atop the NFC North at 3-1-1.

Love is confident that this team can make a charge over the remainder of the regular season, becoming a team to beat on the NFC side of the bracket.

“I think we have a really good team,” Love told reporters Sunday. “I think it just comes down to being our best every time we touch that field and executing every play. I think we’ve seen what we can do against some good teams, and we’ve seen what we do when we don’t play our best. Just comes down to playing your best on Sunday or you’ll get beat.”

Green Bay, and Love, leaned on running back Josh Jacobs and tight end Tucker Kraft, setting a physical tone and scoring pivotal touchdowns late against the Bengals.

After failing to close out the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns in consecutive weeks entering the bye week, if the Packers can lean into that physicality down the stretch, Green Bay is going to be one of the more difficult teams to beat the rest of the way.
