Week 6 will end tonight, so we have to look toward week 7. The amount of noteworthy injuries in the NFL simply continues to pile up through the first six weeks of action, which has made the waiver wire still relevant nearing the midpoint of the fantasy football season. These are the top waiver wire steals heading into fantasy football week 7, and the players you should be prioritizing in picking up.
With the high-powered offensive units of the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens both on a bye, let’s take a closer look at some of the waiver wire steals ahead of Week 7.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense has managed to navigate a handful of noteworthy injuries throughout their 5-1 start, which most recently saw rookie sensation Emeka Egbuka pick up a hamstring injury on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
This opened the door for rookie WR Tez Johnson to see an expanded role, which resulted in an 11.5-point fantasy outing with his electric 45-yard touchdown reception on Sunday.
The one reception may not bring into question volume concerns for the thin-framed Oregon product, but he did see a season-high 72% of the offensive snaps with Egbuka exiting the contest prematurely.
The Bucs could get back Mike Evans or Chris Godwin this week, but if the Bucs elect to take a conservative approach with their veteran wideouts, then Johnson could be in for an expanded role in what could be a high-scoring affair against the Detroit Lions in Week 7.
Oronde Gadsden, TE, Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles Chargers TE Oronde Gadsden turned some heads when he caught five passes for 46 yards back in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos’ stingy defense, but his volume in the passing game tailed off over the last two weeks.
That changed quickly when WR Quentin Johnston was unavailable for Week 6, which saw the rookie TE catch seven of his eight targets for 68 yards on Sunday.
What is another encouraging sign is that Gadsden saw a season-high 75% of the offensive snaps in Week 6, which is even more encouraging when you consider Will Dissly finally returned from injury, but was a clear second fiddle to Gadsden in the passing attack.
If Johnston returns to the lineup, then it could push Gadsden down the pass-catching peck order again, but Gadsden appears to have clearly taken control of the TE role in Los Angeles — which makes him an intriguing add in deeper PPR leagues moving forward.
Kimani Vidal, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Another Charger who had an encouraging performance on Sunday was RB Kimani Vidal, who registered a career-high 124 rushing yards on 18 carries to go with three receptions for 14 yards and a score on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
Vidal clearly outplayed Hassan Haskins, which makes him a great short-term option for fantasy managers in need of an RB over the next few weeks while Omarion Hampton remains on IR.
Bam Knight, RB, Arizona Cardinals

ESPN’s Adam Schefter dropped a bit of a fantasy bomb on Sunday morning when he reported that Bam Knight would be the leading back for Arizona against the Indianapolis Colts, which turned out to be spot on.
Knight registered 12.4 fantasy points over his 12 total touches, which resulted in 54 total yards and a score on Sunday.
If you are desperate for a running back in deeper leagues, then Knight could be a viable flex option while Trey Benson remains on IR.
