“Give Baker Mayfield the MVP”: NFL Fans Believe Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield Is Front …

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one of the biggest stories in the NFL through the first six weeks of the 2025 NFL season. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is one of the favorites to potentially win the NFL MVP this season with the way he has played this season.

Mayfield did not have Mike Evans, Jalen McMillan, and Chris Godwin for this game. Against the San Francisco 49ers, he also lost wide receiver Emeka Egbuka to an injury. Despite all of that, he performed well once again in a 30-19 win for Tampa Bay over San Francisco. With the win for the Buccaneers, they improve to 5-1 on the season and the 49ers dropped to 4-2 on the season.

Mayfield was throwing passes to players like Cade Otton, Kameron Johnson, and Tez Johnson in the game and it didn’t matter. He also busted off an amazing run a on third-and-14 play in the third quarter, and it led to a first down. Well, with Tampa Bay currently having the number one seed at the moment in the NFC, many people believe that he is potentially an MVP candidate.

This is what some NFL fans had to say about him:

Insane: Bucs star QB Baker Mayfield is now without his Top 4 WRs and starting RB.

• Mike Evans (hamstring)

• Emeka Egbuka (hamstring)

• Chris Godwin (fibula)

• Jalen McMillan (neck)

• Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder)

I’ve seen enough.

This is what an MVP sounds like.

THIS is why Baker Mayfield is the MVP right now.

He was asked about his angry run and rather than make it about himself he talked exclusively about his teammates.

I’d run through more walls than the Kool-Aid man for Baker. #WeAreTheKrewe pic.twitter.com/TaPAtBkQlg

For all the faults of the Chicago Bears, we never drafted a QB, had that QB lead us to a playoff victory, dump that QB for a pariah who then stunk and watched that QB become a franchise QB and MVP contender like the Browns with Baker Mayfield pic.twitter.com/aZ6UBZ95TW

Mayfield is playing at a level that many NFL fans have never seen before. Cleveland Browns fans must be sick about him doing this week in and week out with Tampa Bay. This is the Buccaneers best chance to potentially win a Super Bowl with him as the starting quarterback.

Just wait until Mayfield gets all of his top targets healthy. They maybe the best team in the NFL right now because of him. The Buccaneers will next play on the road on Monday night football against the Detroit Lions (4-2).
