Everton’s squad is now littered with quality after spending in excess of £100m in the summer transfer window.
Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have been the standout additions for Everton so far as they’ve been able to contribute immediately at the top end of the pitch.
Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall are among the best playmakers in the Premier League this season, with the former actually top of the assists chart.
So they’ve been earning most of the plaudits this season, however, there is one player who’s also been excellent but seems to go under the radar.
Tim Sherwood has been waxing lyrical about him on Sky Sports.

Tim Sherwood admits Jordan Pickford has really grown on him
Jordan Pickford is among the best goalkeepers on the planet, and yet, he’s really underappreciated by neutrals.
Speaking on Sky Sports News, former England international Tim Sherwood has explained how the ‘extraordinary’ Pickford has really grown on him.
“I think right up there (among England’s best keepers), the consistency of what he’s shown playing in an England shirt has been extraordinary,” Sherwood said.

“He’s never ever ever let England down, even at tournament football as well. I would suggest Everton would not be in the Premier League if it weren’t for Jordan Pickford over the last three or four years.
“He’s been outstanding, he’s a real character, he’s growing on me as well. When he first came in, I thought he was a little bit excitable and maybe not calming enough for the defenders.
“But, you know what, they just love him, the players who play with him just love him behind them, they know if he makes a mistake it’s going to be an honest one… looks for no one else to blame.
“I think he’s a real character and a real leader within the group. Without doubt, him Harry Kane, Declan Rice… other than that, no one is guaranteed a place. But I think them three, certainly for me, would be first on my team sheet.”
Jordan Pickford set to be rewarded with new Everton contract
Pickford’s tremendous performances are set to be rewarded with a new contract as Everton chiefs have prepared a four-year deal for him to sign when he returns from international duty.
The Friedkin Group see the 31-year-old as a key figure in a European push, so his new terms could see him under contract until he retires.
The 79-cap England international is part of the senior leadership group at Everton, alongside Seamus Coleman and James Tarkowski.
