Marcus Rashford has been in fine form since moving to join Barcelona on loan this season, marking his second loan move of 2025 after joining Aston Villa for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
At Villa Park, Rashford grabbed four goals and six assists in 17 games, and is now closing in on those figures at Camp Nou with three goals and five assists in 10 games.
The England international has delivered some masterclasses already, such as his winning brace against Newcastle United in the Champions League.
With Rashford routinely now giving his all on the pitch, and routinely contributing to goals, the Manchester United academy graduate has blamed The Red Devils for his recent struggles before leaving for LaLiga, especially his inconsistency at Old Trafford.
In an interview with ITV Sport, as reported by The Daily Mail, Rashford commented: “For sure, consistency is a massive part of it. I feel like I have been in an inconsistent environment for a very long time, so it is even more difficult to be consistent. But I completely agree, I think consistency is what I need to bring into my game and I am looking to do that.”
He continued: “I want to be at my best, not sometimes, but as often as possible. When people talk about consistency, in order to be consistent in anything not just sport, you need consistent variables in your life and the way you train.
“We have just had so many changes so far in my career but I have to look forward and that it definitely one of the things I want to put right and improve on to be at my best more often. When I am at my best I really enjoy everything about the sport.”
Whislt Rashford doesn’t specify the inconsistencies he’s referring to, the extensive changes of management at Old Trafford could well be a factor, with Rashford having played under eight different managers since joining the senior side in 2016.
It’s understood that the United attacker is hoping to impress during his time with Barca to secure a permanent move next summer, truly bringing an end to his career at Old Trafford.
